Batam Trip @ Indonesia: Megamall, Nagoya Hill, Chemistree, KTM Batam Resort

Selamat petang~ If you have followed me on Instagram, you will know that I'm actually just returned from Batam, Indonesia. The second time I visited this beautiful place and undoubtedly, Batam is definitely a great place to rest and relax. I wasn't going to share a very complete itinerary with you guys as I didn't manage to jot down everything there (You know, if you are in a totally relaxed mind, you are lazy to remember anything.) Therefore, if you are looking for a very informative post regarding Batam, perhaps mine one is not a good one xD. However, if you wanna see how Batam looks like and how was the food there, let's scroll down & I will try my best to share everything I could.

Departed from Berjaya Waterfront/The Zon Ferry Terminal at 8am, it took around 2 hours to reach Batam, Indonesia.

Ferry from Citra Indomas Company which cost around RM 105 / adult (Two way).

Batam Centre Ferry Terminal 

Since it was too early at the time we arrived there, we spent our leisure time at Megamall Batam Centre before heading to the hotel.

Brunch at one of the restaurants inside Megamall. Forgot the name of the restaurant but I think it was famous with "ayam penyet" (Spiced Fried Chicken) cause I saw photos of ayam penyet everywhere haha~

Ayam penyet, the sambal is the best when served with its fried chicken. I love the fried tofu and tempeh as well!

Ermm I forgot what was it, it was some kind of fried chicken with their special sambal + spices. Not too spicy, with a little sweet taste lingers around, I prefer this more than the ayam penyet cause it was juicier and more flavourful~  

Nasi goreng kampung. A bit salty due to the ikan bilis (anchovies) inside. But overall was good.

Satay. The first time I had satay with crispy fried onion, a very good experience!

We also took an opportunity to go to Nagoya Hill, as it is known to be one of the biggest shopping malls at Batam. 

Next, chilling and relaxing at Chemistree cafe

A cafe with lots of good reviews from websites, it was well-decorated with affordable food serving there. The food was even cheaper than our ayam penyet meal just now.

I love the tranquil and peaceful feel this resort brought to us. Facing the seaside, it had extremely breathtaking scenery especially early in the morning.   

We booked a two bedroom villa for 4 adults from Agoda with the price of around RM90/ pax. It was a two-interconnecting room with two bathrooms and a balcony.

We had our dinner at the resort. From what I know, it was well-known for their seafood cuisine and thus attracting many tourists to come over just for the seafood.

Ordered fried rice, sambal kangkung, hotplate tofu, sour sweet prawn, and cereal sotong for 4 of us. I love the sambal in the middle, it was the way too appetizing and well-matched with every food.

Breakfast which was included in the hotel package. Lots of choices to choose from, ranging from Asian food like mee soto, fried noodles to western style breakfast and even desserts. Everything was so good, satisfied with it!
